FRAME ADJUSTMENT

Regardless of how careful you are, sometimes your eyeglasses require a professional frame adjustment. Adjustments are a great way to ensure your eyeglasses fit properly on your face and don’t bother you. Not only is this important for comfortability, but for your vision. At Lensworks, we are here to make sure your glasses fit you as well as the day you first got them. We can adjust the bridge, nose pads, and temples to fit your unique face exactly as you would like.

Sure, you can try to adjust your frames on your own, but this often ends in frustration for many eyeglass wearers. If you have started to notice your frames sliding down your face or if they are digging into you temples, swing by our eye care center and let one of our friendly techs help you.

The goal is for your frames to stay in place without pinching or squeezing your nose or temples.

VISION

When your glasses are adjusted properly, your vision will be as clear as it should be. When your frames are improperly adjusted, it can cause headaches and other vision problems.

DO I NEED A FRAME ADJUSTMENT?

If you aren’t sure whether or not your frames could use a little tweaking, ask yourself the following:

  • Are they too tight?
  • Are they too loose?
  • Do they feel uneven?
  • Are they too wide for your face?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you probably need a frame adjustment. We will start by realigning your frames so they are even at every single angle. At Lensworks we are specially trained to bend frames into proper alignment using our hands, pliers, and heating equipment, in some cases. It is our goal to ensure your eyeglasses fit your face as well as they should. Once we achieve this, we will have you try them on so we can make sure the lenses are positioned correctly in front of your pupils.

WHAT IF I HAVE MULTIFOCAL LENSES?

Not to worry! Even people with multifocal lenses (including progressive, bifocal, and trifocal) can have their frames adjusted in a matter of minutes. Our team members will make sure the line (either visible or invisible) on the lens is in the correct position, as this being off axis is one of the main causes of eye strain and headaches.
